Ainda de acordo com o site Encyclopedia Britannica, os atores Daniel Day Lewis e Jack Nicholson foram os que mais venceram o prêmio, com três estatuetas cada. Além disso, Nicholson lidera a lista de atores mais indicados com 12 indicações no total.
