Gerente de restaurante em Israel, Lyor Vilk nasceu em Curitiba. De acordo com os pais adotivos, ele foi entregue no país do Oriente Médio por uma brasileira. Lyor aprendeu sozinho a falar português assistindo às novelas brasileiras. Foi um apelo dele, em português truncado, em um fórum da internet, que motivou o grupo de mulheres voluntárias de Santa Catarina e do Paraná, a tentar descobrir mais sobre os bebês levados do Brasil.

Working as a restaurant manager in Israel, Lyor Vlk was born in Curitiba. His adoptive parents say that he arrived in Israel by the hands of a brasilian woman. Lyor learned by himself how to speak portuguese watching brazilian sitcoms. It was by his request in a internet forum that a group of brazilian volunteers from Santa Catarina and Paraná got motivated to search for more information about the babies who were taken away from Brazil.
